01

Pricing & Payment

All safari prices are quoted in US dollars, unless otherwise stated. Our prices are based on the information and services available at the time of quotation and may change before confirmation due to factors beyond our control, including exchange-rate fluctuations, changes in park fees, accommodation rates, government charges, fuel costs or airline tariffs.

Deposit

A 40% deposit of the total safari cost is required to confirm your booking, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Your booking is considered confirmed once the required payment has been received and we have confirmed the arrangements with our suppliers.

Balance payment

The remaining 60% balance must be paid at least 30 days before the scheduled date of departure. For bookings made within 30 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of confirmation.

Gorilla & chimpanzee permits

Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are secured specifically for you and require full payment at the time of booking. Once purchased, permit payments are subject to the applicable Uganda Wildlife Authority terms and are treated separately from our standard cancellation schedule.

02

Payment Methods

We offer secure and convenient payment options for international travellers.

Bank transfer

Payment can be made by bank/wire transfer to the Pride Nature Safaris account provided on your invoice. Any bank charges, intermediary-bank fees or transfer costs are the responsibility of the client. Please provide payment confirmation once the transfer has been made.

Online payment

For added convenience, we can provide a secure WeTravel payment link for eligible bookings. The link allows you to pay online using the methods available through WeTravel. Any applicable payment or transaction charges will be shown on the invoice before payment.

Your booking is confirmed once the required payment has been received and Pride Nature Safaris has confirmed the booking in writing.

03

Cancellation & Refunds

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by the person who made the booking. Cancellation charges are calculated according to the number of days before the scheduled departure date that the cancellation is received.

Certain services have separate cancellation conditions and may be subject to stricter terms. These include domestic flights, accommodation with special cancellation conditions and other non-refundable services. Where suppliers impose cancellation charges greater than those stated above, the actual supplier charges may apply. Any eligible refund will be processed after the relevant suppliers have confirmed the amounts recoverable.

04

Permits & Domestic Flights

Gorilla & chimpanzee permits

Gorilla and chimpanzee permits are subject to availability and are secured specifically for the traveller once payment has been received. Permit availability cannot be guaranteed until the permit has been confirmed. Once purchased, permits are generally non-refundable.

Domestic flights

Domestic flights included in your itinerary are subject to airline availability and the applicable airline’s booking and cancellation conditions. Once tickets have been issued, they may be non-refundable or subject to airline cancellation and amendment fees. Flight schedules may also change due to operational or weather-related circumstances.

05

Travel Insurance & Health

Travel insurance is strongly recommended and may be required for certain activities. Your insurance should provide appropriate cover for the full duration of your journey, including:

  • Medical treatment and emergency evacuation
  • Trip cancellation or interruption
  • Lost, stolen or damaged baggage
  • Missed or delayed flights
  • Activities included in your itinerary

Travellers are responsible for ensuring that they meet the relevant visa, passport, vaccination and health requirements for Uganda and any other destination included in their itinerary. Please inform us of any medical condition, mobility limitation, dietary requirement or other circumstance that may affect your ability to participate safely in the activities booked.

For activities such as gorilla trekking, chimpanzee tracking and mountain hiking, we strongly recommend that travellers assess their fitness and discuss any concerns with their medical practitioner before travelling.

Important Information

Accommodation

Pride Nature Safaris does not own or operate the accommodation properties used on our safaris. Accommodation shown on our website represents our suggested properties and may be substituted with a comparable property of similar standard where necessary, particularly where availability changes. We will communicate significant changes to your accommodation arrangements.

Transport & other services

We work with selected accommodation providers, airlines, activity operators and other service providers. While we carefully select our partners, these services are operated by independent third parties and are subject to their operational conditions.

Flight delays & missed flights

Travellers are responsible for allowing sufficient time for airport check-in and security procedures. Pride Nature Safaris cannot accept responsibility for costs arising from a traveller’s failure to check in on time or from lost, damaged or expired travel documents.

Travel documents

It is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure that passports, visas, permits and other required travel documents are valid and available throughout the journey.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside Pride Nature Safaris vehicles. Regular comfort stops can be arranged during longer journeys.

Changes to your safari

Because our safaris are tailor-made, reasonable changes can sometimes be made before or during your journey, subject to availability and any additional costs involved. Changes requested by the client may result in additional charges from accommodation providers, airlines, parks or other suppliers.

Force majeure

Pride Nature Safaris cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government restrictions, civil unrest, epidemics or pandemics, airline disruption, road closures, changes in park regulations or other events that make it impossible or unsafe to operate part or all of a journey. Where such circumstances occur, we will make reasonable efforts to assist with alternative arrangements.
