Why Visit Uganda?

Uganda offers an unusual diversity of landscapes and wildlife within one country. The south and west are characterized by lush forests, lakes, mountains and fertile landscapes, while the north and northeast open into vast savannahs and remote wilderness.

Uganda is also one of Africa’s exceptional destinations for primate experiences, with mountain gorillas, chimpanzees and numerous other primate species. Its extensive network of national parks and wildlife reserves protects important habitats and provides opportunities for wildlife viewing, trekking, birdwatching, hiking and other outdoor experiences. For travelers who want more than a traditional safari, Uganda offers the opportunity to combine wildlife with culture, adventure and time spent in some of East Africa’s most beautiful landscapes.
