Day to Day Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arrive at Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport
You will meet with the company representative and, you will be transferred to your accommodation which is set in a quiet residential neighbourhood with beautiful gardens being away from the noise, just to wind down from your international flight. The guest house is just a 10 minutes drive from Entebbe International airport. And from the moment you arrive, you are warmly welcomed and cared for.

Day 2: From Entebbe to Kisoro town
07:00am start your day with an early breakfast. Thereafter,. drive to Kisoro South Western Uganda located under the peaks of the Mufumbiro Mountains which are part of the Virunga Mountains and home to the rare mountain gorillas. Drive through towns of Mbarara, and en-route have a stop-over at the Equator line that separates the Northern and Southern hemispheres with an opportunity for you to take photographs and, after continue the journey and enjoy the magnificent views. Take a lunch break at Igongo Cultural Centre away from the centre of central Mbarara and after, leave for your destination which is Kisoro. Depending on the time you will arrive, spend some time at leisure in preparation for dinner.

Day 3: Batwa trail Mgahinga NP
Today, you will learn about the Indigenous Batwa, the UWA ranger / guide will take you through the trail in Mgahinga National Park. The dense forests on the foothills of the Virunga Volcanoes used to be their comfortable homes along they exhibit the ways of hunting, fire making, fetching water and gathering honey. The Batwa were the original inhabitants of the forests before Mgahinga and Bwindi Impenetrable were gazetted into National Parks in 1991. The trail crowns with a performance in the Garama Cave, this engagement is there to support the community and improve their standard of living. After you will return to the hotel

Day 4: Summit Mount.Sabinyo Mgahinga NP
One of the conical volcano straddle borders with Congo & Rwanda, and on a clear day the peak gives stunning views of all 3 countries. In the local language, Sabinyo means OLD MAN’s TOOTH because its serrated summit resembles worn teeth in a gum line. It’s an extinct volcano in Eastern Africa in the Viunga Mountains and the oldest range. The slopes of Mt. Sabimyo are habitat for the endangered Mountain Gorillas and other animals. The Mountain offers a challenging hike among the Virunga ranges of mountains, descending is easier but also challenging where again you will have to deal with the ladders again and need to do it with care especially if the weather is bad. This hike is a 9 hour walk return depending on your pace. On this journey, you will take a guide with you as well ranger escorts from Uganda Wildlife Authority that are armed to scare away any large animals like the Elephants.

Day 5: Golden Monkeys Tracking and Coffee Tour
The endangered Golden Monkey is endemic to the Albertine rift, and Mgahinga National Park offers chance to track these creatures, high in the dense bamboo forests on the Gahinga trail. Today, you will be transferred to Mgahinga National Park for briefing on what to expect while in the Virunga volcanoes in search of the Golden Monkeys, found only in the Virunga ranges of Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. Golden Monkeys are swift in their movements you will follow them as they feed. They enjoy feeding on bamboo shoots among other foods like fruits, vegetation. On this experience, you will take a guide with you as well ranger escorts from Uganda Wildlife Authority that is armed to scare away any large animals like the Elephants. After the golden monkey experience, break for lunch after take a coffee tour this tour covers history, science and practice of coffee growing, processing and handling coffee, tasting of different roasts styles.

Day 6: Mountain Gorilla Encounter Bwindi southern area
08:00am Mountain Gorilla trekking in the Rushaga area, the park protects an estimated 400 Mountain Gorillas, roughly half of the world’s population including several habituated groups which can be tracked. The biological diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals including several primate species such as baboons, chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. The ranger will lead you to start your trek and after hiking some distance depending on the location of the Gorillas, you will sight them and spend up to 1hr with them. Take a picnic lunch break after start to descent back to meet with your driver guide who will transfer you to the lodge so you may reminisce on the day’s experience.

Day 7: From Bwindi to Entebbe Airport
Today makes the end of the tour. After your morning breakfast, you will embark on a journey back to Entebbe. Have a lunch break at the Equator optional more picture moments in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. Depending on your time departure, you will directly be transferred to Entebbe International airport to catch your return flight back home.
